ABOUT A CURRENT AFFAIR
THE BEST VINTAGE RETAILERS AND PRIVATE DEALERS UNDER ONE ROOF
Our curated, relevant selection of vintage from over 60 vendors was christened the “best vintage on the planet” by Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso. We represent a wide cross-section of vintage sellers from across the globe, who gather 3 times a year in Los Angeles and twice a year in New York to bring together the best vintage under one roof, attracting a loyal following and the attention of vogue.com.
Our over 60 vintage retailers and private dealers showcase the best in vintage clothing, accessories and jewelry. Shop everything from rare denim and American workwear to avant garde design pieces to luxury staples from the likes of Chanel and Hermes.
Each event features a robust roster of exhibitors, prominent supporters from the fashion and editorial worlds, food and beverage sponsors and eminent members of our host committee. Our Fall 2015 NY event saw our highest attendance ever with guests made up of industry figureheads and style enthusiasts, including Michelle Williams, Camilla Nickerson, Brian Atwood, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, and Lynn Yaeger.
A Current Affair is a major source of inspiration for designers with teams from Opening Ceremony, Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, Band of Outsiders, Trina Turk, Ralph Lauren, Free People, and Mara Hoffman all regularly shopping the event. Prices range from $30-$3000, reflecting the vast array of goods on display- from heritage denim to estate jewelry.
Our home in Los Angeles is the Cooper Design Space, located in the center of Downtown LA’s fashion district. Our New York home resides in the historic Industry City Complex of Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
A Current Affair was founded in 2010 by Richard Wainwright of NEW/FOUND, and Joey Grana, designer and owner of Scout.
