Started in 1984 by Michael Dianda, Mr. Toad’s is a couture, designer,vintage clothing and accessories business. Michael travels the world showing at clothing, antique, and trunk shows, and buying for a very discerning clientele. Mr. Toad’s sells only the most prestigious names in fashion, including Worth, Fortuny, Galenga, Madame Grés, Hattie Carnegie, Chanel, YSL, Galanos, Oscar de la Renta, Alaïa, Halston, Dior, Gaultier, Galliano, Miriam Haskell, KJL, Larry VRBA, and many more from all decades.
A Current Affair is a semi-annual vintage pop-up event that brings together over 40 premier vintage retailers and private dealers from Los Angeles and beyond. Attendees shop a select assortment of clothing, jewelry, and accessories from the Victorian Era through today. Held in Downtown LA, in the heart of the fashion district, the show features shopping, an open bar, music by KCRW DJ Marion Hodges, and photos by street style photographer HiStyley.
